Marina Pazzaglia tells the story and developments of the company
Co-founder of Iride Italia Srl in 1988, together with Bresciani Pierluigi (retired from work in 2019, but remained as Honorary President of the company). Today, Marina Pazzaglia holds the position of Company President.
What were the initial steps for building your company? How did the IrideItalia S.r.l. project take shape?
Ours is perhaps the “oldest” company in the Group. We were born in 1988 almost as a result of a bet made between me, specialized in administration and finance, and Pierluigi Bresciani, who has been involved in the office supplies sector for years, with an office of just 90 square meters. We have combined our skills, growing gradually but steadily. The most vivid memory is the issue of DDT (then Accompaniment Bills) which was done by hand! Today, it seems crazy to think of any activity without the aid of a server or PC connected to the Internet.

Initially Iride Italia dealt only with office supplies, why did you think of introducing the sector of printing labels for identification?
It happened many years ago, there was a time when we realized that the office supply sector was getting too inflated. From this awareness, the decision to move our core business to thermal transfer printing. Anticipating our direct competitors with this precise intuition was decidedly positive for IrideItalia. We have evolved becoming specialists in systems for product traceability and automatic identification in the Auto-ID market.
What are the sectors that make up your target audience?
Currently, the fashion & amp; luxury represents an important component of our target. Among our customers we include important brands such as Prada, Gucci, Fendi or Ermanno Scervino. With many of these realities we share the geographical positioning of the company, which, like us, are based in Tuscany. Potentially, however, I would like to clarify that we have the necessary characteristics to offer ourselves to all companies in any product sector.
In such a large market today, what is the distinctive element that differentiates you from the competition?
Our maturity has taught us that it is essential to listen to all customers, interpret their needs and give immediate and eloquent answers. I believe I can say that we have acquired and consolidated a high level of reliability, selecting over time the collaborators who had the
our same moral and professional values. A kind of mini-family.
Let’s talk now about what has happened in recent years. IrideItalia becomes part of the Finlogic Group. What were the steps that led to this decision?
We joined the Finlogic Group precisely in July 2018. It was a decision that made us stronger. After the acquisition, our internal organization improved, managing to expand the offer we offer. We have also had the opportunity to offer our customers a wide range of products and services at 360 degrees, also guaranteeing them maximum technical assistance. It is undeniable that today we present ourselves under a much more structured and organized guise. I believe that the real strength of the Finlogic Group is synergy, being able to work together while maintaining their own identity. It’s a growing family.
What opportunities have arisen for you after joining the Finlogic Group?
We have certainly gained national visibility. Indeed, the Finlogic group has an exponential sounding board and has allowed us to enrich our wealth of knowledge. We also entered new sectors by acquiring know-how that we could not even imagine before. To name a few: custom software solutions, 3D printers, digital label printers and automatic labeling systems.
A question that is opposed to the previous one. From your point of view, what were the opportunities that the Group has drawn with your entry?
First of all, we have introduced solutions for labeling in the clothing production and fashion & amp; luxury in particular. This has allowed Finlogic Spa to open up to a very competitive market. But not only that, the introduction of our knowledge in the field of printers for magnetic cards also fits in this sense. Last but not least, Iride has made the Office products division available to the Group. A sector
which no longer holds the role of core business for our reality, but which feeds itself with a dedicated, lean and effective E-commerce.
Let’s conclude with an overview of the future, what are the projects in the pipeline, the objectives and ambitions of Iride Italia?
We would like to be more present in the sectors that have partially suffered from the post Covid19 crisis. I refer, for example, to the agro-food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Furthermore, we have been observing the wine market around us for some time. In fact, there are many Tuscan companies present and we would like to enter this sector too.
If, on the other hand, we are talking about internal organization, one of the primary objectives is that aimed at encouraging and enhancing the Technical Assistance area. This is a service that we have always offered to our customers, but which could be extended. I say this in view of the synergy that has been created with the Group, in fact we would like to make use of the support of 7 assistance centers located throughout Italy.
To conclude, I would like to mention an area that we believe is important: the personalized printing service. Our new headquarters allowed us to use an area for this type of service, allowing us to carry out small runs of customized works for those customers who need them.
