Label die cutters
All-in-one finishing systems: lamination, cutting, trimming and rewinding
The Finlogic Group offers a complete range of digital label die-cutters , machines designed to transform a simple printed roll into finished, shaped, and ready-to-apply label rolls. These solutions are ideal for companies that print labels on demand and want maximum flexibility in creating custom shapes (rectangular, circular, or complex contours) without the costs and waiting times of traditional mechanical die-cutters.
Our digital finishing systems manage the entire post-press process in a single step, ensuring professional results for small and medium runs:
Plotter Die Cutting (Digital): Thanks to the blade or knife technology guided by optical sensors (black-mark), it is possible to cut out any shape directly from the graphic file, eliminating the need to purchase expensive cylinders or physical dies.
Inline Lamination: Protect your labels by making them waterproof, UV-resistant, and scratch-resistant by applying a polypropylene film (glossy or matte) before cutting.
Waste Removal: The system automatically separates and removes the waste matrix (the excess adhesive around the label), leaving the roll clean.
Slitting: The blades allow you to divide a wide roll into multiple tracks (narrower rolls), optimizing production and making the rolls compatible with standard automatic applicators.

FAQ
What is a digital die cutter used for?
It's used to "finish" labels printed on a continuous roll. A digital printer often prints on non-precut rolls; the die cutter cuts the shape (e.g., round or contoured), removes excess paper (waste), and, if necessary, laminates the label to protect it.
Do I have to buy a physical die for each shape?
No, this is the great advantage of digital plotter die cutters (like Virgo or Scorpio). Cutting is performed by a software-guided moving blade: simply load the digital cutting path (vector file) and the machine will cut any shape without any setup costs.
Can I laminate labels with these machines?
Yes, most Finlogic die-cutters include a lamination module. This allows you to apply a protective film (foil) over the print before cutting, making the labels resistant to water, chemicals, and mechanical abrasion.
Do these systems work with any label printer?
Digital die cutters work "offline" (off-line), so they are compatible with rolls printed by any color printer (Epson, VIPColor, OKI, Afinia, Zebra, etc.), as long as the roll diameter and media width fall within the machine's specifications.
